Flickr and YouTube

I created a Flickr account and added photos. Here are my photosets: www.flickr.com/photos/tedlibrarian/sets/. I've had a digital camera for some time, so I added some photos from my high school library and also from an Earthwatch archaeology dig I did in northern England in the summer of 2006.

I'm not video savvy at all, so I did browse YouTube without setting up an account or adding anything. It was fun - I found some videos that were done last November from the musical that the students and six of us teachers were in at St. Scholastica. If you REALLY want to see that dance routine that we teachers were in, I'll get you the link.

I can see the value to libraries. Were are in such a multimedia based world that libraries can of course use these materials for both promotion and instruction.

I loved the pictures. The location of the dig looked amazing. I liked seeing your library, too. I'd be interested in hearing more about the book your Star group picked. Oh, can you send me a link to the youtube video of you dancing. :-)

great photos! thanks for sharing them. and i have to say, i think i speak for everyone when i say that we all REALLY want to see that dance routine :D

does your digital camera have a movie option? if it does, you should try experimenting with some videos and youtube. it's really easier than most people think.

OK, here's that dance routine from last November: Never Too Old Too Rock. The musical we did was called "The High School That Dripped Gooseflesh". The kids love anything with the teachers on stage, and one of them captured this for YouTube. I start out on the left in the tan suit, dancing with Penny. I play the crusty English teacher in the story. One of the English teachers at SSA played the ditzy librarian.
